Frequently Asked Questions
The questions we're asked most. If yours isn't here, contact us and we'll answer it properly.
Are Qasida fragrances authentic?
Yes. Qasida is composed and bottled by FAAN Perfumes in the United Arab Emirates, a house that has been making fragrance in the Gulf since the late eighties. Every bottle sold here comes direct.
How long does a Qasida fragrance last?
These are eau de parfum concentrations, so most wear for six to eight hours on skin. The heavier compositions — Sahm, Dunes, Bakhur and Al-Badr — tend to last longer and project further. Purity and Senses sit closer to the skin by design.
How should I apply it?
Spray onto clean, moisturised skin at the pulse points — wrists, base of the neck, behind the ears. Don't rub your wrists together; it crushes the top notes and shortens the life of the fragrance.
Are they suitable for men or women?
Four of the eight are unisex. Sahm is composed for men; Senses, Purity and Queen lean feminine. That said, wear whatever you like — the categories are a starting point, not a rule.
What size are the bottles?
Every Qasida is 200ml — roughly twice the size of a standard designer bottle.
How should I store my fragrance?
Somewhere cool, dark and dry — a drawer or cupboard rather than a windowsill or bathroom shelf. Heat and sunlight break down the oils and will dull a fragrance faster than anything else.
Do you ship outside the UK?
At the moment we ship within the United Kingdom. If you're elsewhere and want a bottle, contact us — we'll tell you honestly whether we can help yet.
